How they got started:

Scha Alyahya started her career as a flight attendant with a local airline. She quit when she won a local beauty pageant and then became a household name after clinching the lead role in Malaysian TV series, Awan Dania. KL-born and bred, Awal started out in the advertising industry, and then became a newsreader after deciding that advertising wasn't for him. Soon after, Awal started hosting local TV programmes, including popular singing competition show, One in A Million. Scha and Awal met when they were co-hosting a reality TV show together, and after three years of dating, Awal proposed live on TV. They have a daughter, Lara Alana, who was born in 2014, and who is a mini celebrity in her own right.
